Zinc Coating Weight Test
Zinc coating plays an important role in protecting temporary fence components from corrosion during outdoor use. To assess the galvanized coating on temporary fence frames, Giant Fence conducts a zinc coating weight test.
The test measures coating thickness at selected points and converts the readings into equivalent zinc coating mass. The results help evaluate coating consistency and the effectiveness of the galvanizing process, providing an indication of the corrosion protection and durability of temporary fencing products.

The purpose of this test is to evaluate the galvanized coating thickness and equivalent zinc coating mass on temporary fence frames, and to determine whether the coating meets our internal specifications. The test helps to:
The zinc coating test is conducted in the following steps:
This test focuses on four key aspects of zinc coating quality:
In the tested sections, coating thickness readings of approximately 104 μm were recorded at selected measurement points, corresponding to an equivalent zinc coating mass of approximately 740 g/m². These results provide a practical reference for evaluating galvanized coating quality.
Zinc coating testing is an important part of Giant Fence's quality control process for temporary fencing. By measuring and evaluating the zinc coating level, we help verify coating consistency and assess the coating's contribution to corrosion resistance, supporting the durability and service life of temporary fencing products.
