Galvanized Wire Tensile Strength Test
Galvanized steel wire is a key structural material in many welded wire fencing products. Its tensile strength directly affects the mechanical performance, structural stability, and durability of the finished fence.
To evaluate the wire’s strength and deformation under load, Giant Fence conducts a galvanized wire tensile strength test using a tensile testing machine. The machine applies a steadily increasing axial load to the wire specimen until it fractures, while the testing system continuously records the applied force and the specimen’s deformation.

This test evaluates the tensile performance of galvanized steel wire and verifies whether its mechanical properties meet our internal specifications. The test helps to:
The galvanized wire tensile strength test is conducted as follows:
The test evaluates the following aspects of galvanized wire performance:
In the video, the testing system reports a maximum tensile load of approximately 16.26 kN and a tensile strength of 637 MPa for the galvanized wire specimen.
Tensile strength testing is an important part of Giant Fence’s material quality control. Before using galvanized wire in production, we apply a controlled tensile load to evaluate its mechanical performance. This testing helps maintain consistent wire quality and supports the strength and durability of finished fencing products.
