To evaluate the mechanical strength of the steel wire used in its welded fence products, Giant Fence conducts a fence wire tensile strength test using a professional electronic universal testing machine at room temperature.
The tested wire serves as the base structural material of welded mesh panels, providing tensile strength that supports panel rigidity and long-term outdoor performance.

The wire specimens were secured vertically between the upper and lower wedge grips of the testing machine. A gradually increasing tensile load was then applied until each specimen reached its maximum load capacity.
The test focused on the following aspects of wire performance:
Three wire specimens from the same production batch were tested. During loading, the testing machine recorded a peak tensile force of 4.45 kN. The recorded results also included a tensile strength of 174 MPa, a deformation of 2.06 mm, a total displacement of 4.07 mm and a test duration of 68.1 s.
The load-time curve rose steadily to its peak and then decreased as the specimen continued to extend, demonstrating the tensile behaviour of the wire under continuous loading.

For welded fence systems, product performance depends on the combined strength of the steel wire, welded mesh structure and installation components. Through professional tensile testing, Giant Fence evaluates the performance of its steel wire to support the reliability of fencing solutions for residential, industrial, construction and security applications.
