Defensive Barrier Load-Bearing Capacity Test
Defensive barriers are designed to form strong and stable protective structures after being filled with soil, sand or other suitable materials. In practical applications, the barrier system must maintain its structural integrity under the pressure and weight generated by the filling material and external loads.
Giant Fence conducts a defensive barrier load-bearing capacity test to verify the structural stability of these barriers under applied loads.

The test is designed to evaluate the stability and load-bearing performance of a filled defensive barrier under additional top loading. The inspection focuses on whether the barrier maintains its overall structural integrity without mesh failure, loss of filling material or excessive deformation.
For this test, the defensive barrier unit is assembled and filled with sand to simulate actual installation conditions. An excavator then places additional sand on top of the filled unit, applying extra vertical load to the barrier.
During loading, the barrier is inspected for:
In the tested unit, the mesh and liner remained intact, and the filling material stayed in place as deformation developed under the applied top load.
At Giant Fence, defensive barrier quality is evaluated through practical testing under conditions that simulate real applications. The defensive barrier load-bearing capacity test helps verify the structural stability of the welded mesh, liner and filled barrier unit, supporting reliable performance in demanding protective applications.
