Measure from this stake to the next planned location along the curve. Make the measurement in a straight line. For example, if you plan on installing fence posts every 12 feet, mark the point where a 12-foot-long string crosses the curve you marked in Step 1.

Repeat the process from the point of the next post until the curve is complete.String wire around the outside of the curve for wire fences. By keeping the wire on the outside of the curve, the wire will not lose tension if it becomes disconnected from the posts. 

Wood fence components can be attached to either side of the posts depending on the desired appearance.Dig fence post holes at each marked location. Set fence posts in the holes and tamp the soil around the post.
